Marsh 1.2.3, Pup 1.1.2 and Snout 1.1.6 — beta releases. They are already usable day to day, but still being stabilized, so some rough edges may remain. If you run into problems, let us know through our contact form. For your safety, download only from this site and our official SourceForge project — be wary of any CapivaraOS-named ISO from another source.

CapivaraOS HERD Server · 1.0.0

The server edition of CapivaraOS: a Brazilian Linux distribution on Fedora 44, headless (no graphical desktop), hardened out of the box (SELinux enforcing, hardened SSH, restrictive firewall, system auditing on) and shipping the Cockpit web console. The Community edition is free and production-ready. Full guide in the HERD documentation.

What's next

The family now has four public distributions: the three desktop spins — Marsh (KDE Plasma), Pup (Xfce) and Snout (GNOME), in beta — and the HERD 1.0.0 server edition, already a stable release. Future releases will be published here too, always with downloads and integrity checks. The images are hosted on our SourceForge project.
