This policy describes how the CapivaraOS website handles personal data, in line with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13.709/2018). CapivaraOS is a non-profit, community-run free software project.
What data we collect
We only collect personal data when you use the contact form: name, email, and the content of the message you send. There's no account creation, login, or browsing data collected via cookies or analytics tools on this site.
Why we collect it
This data is used exclusively to respond to your message. The legal basis is your consent, given at the moment you fill out and submit the form.
Who we share it with
Submitting the form goes through the following services, strictly necessary for the contact feature to work:
- Resend — processes sending the email with your message to the CapivaraOS team.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — verifies the submission isn't automated (spam protection), processing the challenge and your IP address.
- Vercel — hosts the site and the function that processes the form, and may log standard technical access data (such as IP address and timestamp) as part of its infrastructure.
We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Messages received through the form stay in the CapivaraOS team's inbox for as long as needed to handle the request and keep a contact history, and can be deleted upon request from the data subject.
Your rights
As the data subject, you can request at any time: confirmation that processing is taking place, access to your data, correction, anonymization or deletion, and withdrawal of consent.

This policy may be updated as the site evolves. Any relevant changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
